Well, depending on the dates you can find some low-fare pockets. Only the days real close to Thanksgiving are that bad (i.e. Tuesday-Wednesday that week, plus the rest of that weekend)
The only non-stops to that entire area that I can tell are a Delta San Francisco to Cincinnati (notoriously expensive) or Southwest Oakland to Nashville. For the latter option, good choices for decent-priced outbound flights (to Nashville) are currently 11/14-17, 11/19, 11/22-23, and 11/27-30. Good return choices are available on 11/14-16, 11/18-19, 11/22, and 11/28-30. These choices cost $237. However, in some cases a stop is required to get the cheap fare, and PFCs can up the fare to $240 or $243 or so.
If you want to go right to Louisville, regardless of stops, the cheapest I see on Southwest is $400 for all of November, but some other airlines might be cheaper. The same applies for SFO
. However, if you are willing to use San Jose, you can fly SJC
for $258 on the correct dates.
