What's The Hottest 727 Livery?

Sat Dec 15, 2007 10:02 pm

I've realized that the 727 looks hot no matter how you paint her! Add a stylish 80s livery...

What are your favorite 727 paint schemes?

Here are mine... please feel free to add!

All of those appear good

I grew up seeing NW 727s a lot and never got tired of them. How I do miss them.  Sad

The air in the clouds is very pure and fine, bracing and delicious because it's the same the angels breathe.

I also liked the 727 with the Northwest Oreint paint scheme.

I didn't even know that ATA had 727's.....The paint scheme looks good on the 727 though.

I thing there is hardly any livery that the 727 does not fit, but here are some of my favorites in no particular order:

My favorite 727 liveries would be a tie between NE's original Yellowbird scheme & EA's original hockey-stick/Whisperjet livery.

Partial to this one since it was our home town bird in GRR when it was N624VA and N529AC, plus- what a background for this photo:

NW's Orient (bowling shoe's growing on me on that type, but I still think the tail looks absolutely rediculous)
Pan Am anything
Sky One
Trump's toy (which I saw up close driving into LAX Big grin )
ATA's 25th
AA
Falcon One
TWA's twin globes and stripes
I convert Jet A and 100LL into noise.

Both were owned by Aviogenex (Serbian charter). I don't know where are they now, but they probably changed livery.
