Trip Reports You'd Love To See

Sat Dec 29, 2007 6:06 pm

Since this is A.Net, and most of us travel, I thought we can start a list of TR's we would love to read about. I was hoping we can run a consolidated thread, and then everytime someone takes that airline, they can append the list with a thread link. Does that sound too dorky? It is A.Net after all  Smile

Here is my list of TR's I would love to read about:

- Air Madagascar
- Air Mauritius
- Air Koryo
- Air China
- China Eastern
- Transaero
- Sibir
- Royal Brunei
- Tunisair
- Hewa Bora Airlines
- TAAG
- Aerolineas Argentinas
- VARIG
- TAM
- Conviasa
- Cubana (IL 62)
- Jet Airways (F/J International)
- PIA (International)
- Nepal Airlines
- Air Pacific
- Air Astana
- Ariana
- Biman
- Tajik Air

Cheers,
A.

TR's that particularly interest me are the more unusual luxury experiences, business travel!

Bizjets, Bizprops, make damn interesting reads!

Please write more!

I did that in 2001.
There have been several reports since already in the database.

I'd like to read a retroactive trip report done years ago before the Internet. I'd like for some of the older folks around here put a report together with scanned pictures and slides from BOAC VC-10s, CSA TU-104, Pan Am Clippers and 707s as well as American Airlines 747s.

I can barely remember my North Central CV-560 and SAS DC-8 flights when I was 2 & 3 years old.

Quoting is not bumping, and showing evidence is good. If they had just said, "there is one," you can bet someone would have responded saying that if they don't link to it, it's not there. Your post, however, looks like a content-free post-pad.

That would be interesting, I've done a few before but it is always nice to hear other people's experiences with WOW. Funnily enough I'll be on them as well tomorrow, 14:50 PLH-BRS route though, and I definately won't be doing a report as I've run out of things to write about... plane goes up, plane goes down - that's about the extent of that short flight! Big grin

Quoting OA260 (Reply 8):
Air Koryo TU 204 !!!

I think there are issues with the Air Koryo flight regarding 'journalism'. Certainly the tour operators I know of who take visitors in and out need you to sign a declaration form stating that you are not a journalist, so writing a report about the flight/experience may be prevented by doing so. Hopefully I'll find out next year as I plan to go - although U really hope it's not the Tupolev, I would much rather have the Il-18 or 62!

You mean general aviation, or Garuda Indonesia? There have been both, but we can do more.  Smile

Hawaiian Airlines from the U.S. to Hawaii to Australia. I think it might have been done before but I'd love to see another report on this.

EL AL

There have been a zillion of these -- maybe the highest ratio of TR's to available seat km's for any airline. There's a search button, and if you can't make it work, try google with site:www.airliners.net as one of your search terms.

I've seen a few Europe-Israel in C TR's

Also several trans-Atlantics, some to the far east (including the above ones), and even more than one of YYZ-LAX:

Well, I don't know if this would really count or if it would even be possible or allowed, but a trip report done by an astronaut on a space mission.
Thats probably a very tall order but it would be the coolest and best trip report i will ever read.
