How Is Westjet?

Wed Jan 30, 2008 1:26 pm

I had a flight scheduled in May on Alaska from LAS-YVR, which they no longer serve non-stop.

The only other option about my original times in WestJet. But, I have never really heard of them.

So..;..How are they? On time? Friendly? Safe? Etc?

Thanks for any help at all.

You'll have no trouble with them, very friendly staff, no trouble with on-time service, a very new fleet of 737NG aircraft.

Flew them from YYC to YVR some months ago, and they were good. On a hop from LAS to YVR, you are not going to see any real difference even though they are considered an LCC.

Great. Mostly. Absolutely. Yes. Etc.

I flew them once YOW-YVR-YOW. Everything was on-time, crews are very friendly, aircraft are fairly comfortable, LiveTV is great.

Fear not Westjet.

Honestly they remind me fare wise of a canadian version of Airtran but with a complete reversal in the customer service department. I spent 30 minutes on a phone call trying to help a stranded pax and they were nothing but extremely helpful and awesome. You shall enjoy your flight!
