Yesterday I was in India and I must say that I really liked the Air India Express 738s in their very smart, fresh, bright, yet spicy and sexy liveries. I then thought of how boring and dull Ryanair's 738s look in comparison. Ryanair does not lack imagination, in my opinion, when it comes to marketing tactics, but I find that their livery lacks imagination and in need of an update and a fresh new bright and sexy look. Is it high time Ryanair updated its imagine and livery?
Their Livery is still way better than Eurowhite and many of the other boring liveries out there. They at least have some colour on their aircraft. I agree its not the most inspirational scheme ever invented, buts its a lot nicer to look at than some other 737's, IMO. That being said, i must also say that it always saddens me when companies spend all the money for new liveries and then only make minor changes, that the average Joe Public doesn't even notice.
Like the airline itself- the livery does exactly what its supposed to. I can't see them needing (or wanting) an update anytime soon. Perhaps they may reinstate the advertising liveries they previously had.
EasyJet's livery is definitely a lot more imaginative, JetBlue's more sober. AirBerlin's has won now that the red has become brighter whereas Southwest remains so lala. I guess Ryanair livery has now a very good memo value and therefore will remain as it is.
By and large it appears remarkably conservative for a company like their's at least seen in regard of their marketing plots and the dust MOL stirs up. Same is true for the costumes of their female FAs. But I don't find it too bad. If only the yellow was softer. But the company and their strategy are truly hip.
I play all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order
If they were to change it don't suprised if O'Leary adds a Livery Charge to go with the check in charge and the ludicrise wheelchair levy that FR charge all pax even if you don't have need a wheelchair.
