Most Airlines/airports In One Trip?

Tue Feb 05, 2008 11:06 pm

Last summer I was lucky enough (using FF miles and by racking up a sizeable credit card debt) to fly...

QF SFO - SYD
QF SYD - BNE
QF BNE - SYD
JQ SYD - HNL
WP HNL - JHM
YV JHM - HNL
AA HNL - SFO
WN OAK - BWI
FI BWI - KEF - LHR
FR BRS - DUB
FR DUB - BRS
FI LHR - KEF - BWI
WN BWI - IND - LAS - SFO

...giving me 8 airlines and 13 airports in one trip. Excluding pilots and FAs, who has the most airlines and airports in a single trip?

Quoting QF74 (Thread starter):
Excluding pilots and FAs, who has the most airlines and airports in a single trip?

Well, usually I have only ONE airline when I am on a trip  Wink And most airports a trip, dont know, but the max possible would be: around 15 or so... But that would be just weird! Because most flights always take you back to FRA.... but let me find something in my logbook:

thats a 5 day trip I took in 2007: (all LH of course)

1st day: FRA-MRS-FRA-TRN-FRA-GRZ
2nd day:GRZ-FRA-EDI-FRA-PRG
3rd day: PRG-MUC-FCO-MUC-BRE
4th day: BRE-FRA-BRU-FRA-DRS
5th day: DRS-FRA-OSL-FRA

And thats it  Wink

13 airports in 5 days... Does that count? Big grin

It's a tie between these two trips I think for me:

Segments: 14. Airports: 9. Airlines: 7. Aircraft Types: 10.

Oasis Hong Kong ... LGW-HKG ... B744
Cebu Pacific ... HKG-CEB-DVO-ZAM ... A319
Asian Spriti ... ZAM-JOL-ZAM ... YS-11
Air Phils ... ZAM-MNL ... B732
Asian Spirit ... MNL-MPH-MNL ... DHC7 & BAe141
SEAIR ... MNL-MPH ... D328
Asian Spirit ... MPH-CEB ... CASA CN235
Philippine Airlines ... CEB-MNL ... A333
Tiger Airways ... CRK-MFM ... A320
Oasis Hong Kong ... HKG-LGW ... B744

Segments: 12. Airports: 12. Airlines: 5/6. Aircraft Types: 7

British Airways ... MAN-LGW-NQY ... B734 and B735
Air Southwest ... PLH-NQY-LGW ... DHC8-300
British Airways ... LGW-KEF ... B734
Flugfelag Islands/Air Iceland ... RKV-VEY-RKV ... DHC8-100
Atlantic Airways ... RKV-FAE, FAE-Torshaven ... BAe142 & Bell 412
Atlantic Airways/FaroeJet ... FAE-CPH ... RJ100
Brussels Airlines ... CPH-BRU-BHX ... B734 & BAe142

However, this was the most in the shortest length of time (in 24 hours), and one of the most interesting too:

GIR Jet operating for Spanair ... MAH-BCN ... F100
Audeli operating for Iberia ... BCN-MAD ... B752
Air Plus Comet/Aerolineas Argentinas ... MAD-LGW ... B735
Air Southwest ... LGW-NQY-PLH ... DHC8-300
