Best Airports To Fly Through?

Wed Mar 05, 2008 8:59 am

What are the best airports to fly through, when looking at security, customs, immigration, check in, baggage, crowdness, in each of these regions:

South East Asia
Australia & New Zealand
Pacific
North Asia
Middle East & India
Africa
Western Europe
Eastern Europe
North America
South America

Would like to know,
thanks

Australia/NZ - AKL. I don´t really like their method where you cannot go to your gate if your flight leaves in more than an hour, leaving you waiting in a kind of a mall, but it is easy to connect nonetheless.

South America - SCL. Plenty to walk, shop, and easy, fast connections (specially when flying LA)

Asia - SIN
Australia - AKL
Western Europe - MUC
Middle East - DXB

Not been to enough airports in other areas to really say my favourite.

South East Asia - Kuala Lumpur (KUL)
Australia & New Zealand - Queenstown (ZQN), Wellington (WLG), Rotorua (ROT)
UK - Isle of Man (IOM), Stansted (STN), Newcastle (NCL)
North America - notoriously poor!! My favourite though is Baltimore/Washington (BWI)
Next Up: Back to the US - Charlotte & Kansas City

Connections through PHX for me have always been very easy and straightforward. It is one of my favorite airports.
