Traveling On Air Tahiti Nui - Questions

Fri Mar 07, 2008 4:24 pm

Hello All,

My wife and I are lucky enough to be flying to PPT and SYD on Air Tahiti Nui on Tuesday (March 11th).

I have been unable to find a seat map for their aircraft, but am lead to believe the configuration is 2-4-2. I'd like to double-check where we're sitting for the all-important SYD-LAX homebound segment.

Also, I made the mistake of mentioning to my wife that we may have personal televisions. She, as she does, took this as a promise that we'll have personal televisions in each seat back. Is this the case with all TN aircraft, or just a select few?

Lastly, does anyone have comments regarding Air Tahiti and their services? I've read several positive reviews both here and on other sites, but thought maybe someone would like to add their thoughts.

Thanks so much. Maybe I'll write my first TR upon my return.

Kind Regards,

PCA

Awesome, thank you, Sir.

I checked seatguru.com and several other sites, but couldn't find an image with row numbers. I appreciate it.

Any info on the AVOD?

Overall comments on TN's service and planes? Anything else I should look out for?

Thanks,

PCA

Read the info on the link I sent.

Top right corner of the page.

No idea . . . never flown with them.

By the way, this should probably be in Polls and Prefs . . . where I suspect a Mod will shortly move it.

A co-worked took TN from LAX-CDG a few months back and loved it. She said she will fly them whenever she has the chance.

Proof that everyone who says I don't pay attention to detail is correct.

Probably right. Sorry.

Thanks for the info. I have already many positive reviews, but many of them were several years old. I just wanted to make sure service was still on par as compared to when the airline was doing better financially.

Air Tahiti Nui F Class, JFK-PPT-SYD With Pics (by Mirrodie Nov 27 2006 in Trip Reports)

Hey feel free to email me with more specific questions but I covered it pretty well here.

They've had stories of 'financial trouble' since before my flight.

Thank you very much. That's exactly what I was looking for.

Hopefully I'll be able to add my own twist on things with a TR when I return.

Again, Thanks.

My wife and I have the dreaded last row from LAX to PPT at the end of the month. Any tips on scoring the bulkheads?

Did you try their website?

Link was on this page covering other aspects of their Y class service.
