Next day

Boeing 777

Wed, Jun 11, 2008 - Taipei, Taiwan (Republic of China) (TPE) to Boston, MA (BOS)
United 0872
Depart: TPE 12:00 PM
Arrive: SFO 08:15 AM Non-stop
11h 15m
Boeing 777

United 0176
Depart: SFO 11:15 AM
Arrive: BOS 07:46 PM Non-stop
5h 31m

I have done only one Trans-Pac flight and that was several years ago, and I have not flown on UA in a few so any responses would be greatly appreciated. Also if this needs to be moved to another forum please do so.

Cheers from BDL,  wave

Why go West? Go east, BOS-AMS-TPE, gives him another cool continent to visit.

This will be some long, rather boring flights with lots of water to be seen (of darkness outside).
Check out for details of IFE etc.
It is always good for your nephew to bring along some things to get distracted just in case the IFE stops working. I-pod, a book, whatever ...
Also, some extra food and water taken onboard never is a bad thing, as one needs to stay hydrated during that 13+ hour flight; relying too heavily on food/water served onboard ain't no good plan.

I understand, that the itinerary is already fixed, but I agree that this also could have been worked out as a Round the World trip (but we have no idea how old that nephew is ...)
Carpe diem ! Life is too short to waste your time ! Keep in mind, that today is the first day of the rest of your life !
