AA 767-300 Info

Sun Apr 06, 2008 10:37 pm

Any info on the way these aircraft are set up on thie LAX-ORD route?? Haven't flown AA in a while. Do they have seat back monitors?..Are they in good shape still? Is upgrading to First Class worth it, with this configuration?

Thanks

No I just HAD to fly on them to ROME out of JFK 3 days ago in a 763  Smile. Coach seats are REALLY smushed and they have gotten rid of Economy plus type seating. NO PTVs and very little pitch. It is very tight in these planes I felt b/c they had the T7 Bins down the side and the Middle bins were so small that only coats could fit.

Business class from what i saw was nothing to special, they have those laptop TV screens w/ what looked like a BIG selection of things to do. the seats did not look bad but nothing really eye popping.

You think AA offers Biz class on the LAX-ORD flight?

The 763s are in a two class configuration.

Domestically the front cabin is sold as First Class.
Internationally the front cabin is sold as Business Class.

If you are getting the 763s on ORD-LAX I'd definitely upgrade. For a domestic First product the lie flat wedgy seat thing is pretty good.

Answers: 1) Monitors = No
2) Good Shape = No
3) First Class worth it = No / Domestic First Class = International Business Class on the 763.
I've flown AA twice to Europe in 763; I agreed with AAH's comments, something that I will avoid as much as possible in the future.

I did LAX-ORD a few months back.

Great flight even sitting in the crew rest area. Coach didn't look so bad, but those people sitting in biz sure looked comfortable!

Strongly disagree! I absolutely love the Business seats on the 763's.

I do also. . . AA's new Biz cabin (branded as First Domestic) on their 763's, I have found very comfortable. Main cabin. I agree nothing special. Not familiar with what UA has to offer, (haven't used them in several years) which would be your other non-stop choice in this market.
