Should UA Update Their BOB?

Fri Apr 11, 2008 11:47 pm

I recently flew on UA and when I went to SFO from ORD, they offered BOB. I always noticed that UA probably not been update their BOB for while now. I am sure that many passengers are getting tired of same BOB all of the time. In addition, another airlines have been start to change their BOB with mixed of box and fresh meal.

I also think that all of airlines should consider of offer fresh meal on all of flight from east coast to west coast included from HUB too. It is silly to eat on cheap small box for 4 hrs or more flight that would not satisfy many passengers. I also notice both way to SFO and from SFO to ORD, not many passengers purchase UA BOB. Also, none of those BOB is breakfast consider for people who board flying out so early in morning.

I think that UA should update their BOB and think of add some fresh meals. Also offer some kind of breakfast meal on morning flight.,6722,51501,00.html

I definitely agree...since they don't have any additional cost for renting terminal space like the airport vendors do, they should be able to offer comparable food and drink products for the same cost while making a decent profit. The big thing is to make the availability consistent; I can't count the amount of times when flights have been all out of or just weren't stocked with food on flights that should have been - Delta's EATS program is very guilty of this. If I knew that 1) An airline offered decent food and 2) There is a good chance that my flight will have some available, I wouldn't mind saving room for a meal in the air. Virgin America and pre-bye-bye Skybus are/were good examples of getting BOB right.
