I've not flown many national carriers this year, so I'll give brief overview of the good ones in general so far.
By legroom and general seat space they are individually non-discrenable, fitting into simply good or acceptable; Air Europa, Air Southwest, FlyBe, Lufthansa, Brussels Airlines and Ryanair were good, whilst ClickAir, Spanair, Jet2 and BA
CityFlyer were merely acceptable, with quite cramped legroom and in the case of BACF very tight seats.
As far as punctuality goes, Ryanair really fit the bill with great performance, whilst all of the others were pretty good as well, no more than a single short (under 1 hour) delay on a FlyBe flight.
Service wise, BACF really excelled, not because their cardboard sandwich tasted especially nice - because it didn't, but because the crew spoke to passengers by name and treated them as if they were a guest of the airline, not just a money making entity shuffled on and off the aircraft. None were especially poor, although some of the staff on ClickAir seemed morbidly depressed and it was nice to hear that FR
's crews could all speak English cohesively.
