This seems like it will be common practice. F9
just started charging for snacks. Slightly more expensive than the snacks I can get out of the vending machines at work, but the bag of chips or whatever are a little bigger, so maybe it evens out. Unfotunately, it's getting to the point of having to nickel and dime people just to keep up with operating costs, but I can't blame them. Anyone remember American Eagle flights in CA
were charging a dollar a soda and also charging for blankets and pillows? I don't think it lasted long, but I remember hearing about it and I was beginning to wonder if we were going to have to start doing it on our Amercian Connection flights. Luckily, no.
I was just on AirTrans website yesterday to look up some ticket prices and I didn't see anyhting about this either. Then again it wasn't my priority either. I tell you, once you get spoiled for flying with the airlines and can pretty much go where you and your immediate family want to go as long as their are open seats, and now I have to pay for a ticket, really sucks. If I were still single I woulndn't have any problem paying for a ticket now I have to lug around a wife and two kids, one of which is finally old enough I have to buy a ticket for her, and the second one is getting to be that age real soon. Wait, if I didn't have kids, I'd still be flying!
