Great Lakes Aviation-non Rev

Mon May 12, 2008 2:51 pm

I am looking into non rev'ing on Great Lakes next week. Does anyone know what the load factors look like from Telluride, Cortez or Alamosa to DEN on Tue? How is their on time performance? Should I choose a differient airport to fly Skywest or Mesa?

Great Mistakes flights run fairly wide-open both because of low booking and weight limits. On a Tuesday you should be completely fine. If I were at work I could help check exact LF's for you, but I won't be in again until Friday.

Best choice, of the UAX carriers.

or Mesa?

One of the worst choices. The Dash's have a bad habit of going *hard* down on MX, taking several hours to bring back online. Shipping Mesa AOG's from DEN is almost commonplace  Wow!

If you have any UA flight numbers you are considering taking, aka OO or YV, send me a PM and I'll help give you an idea of LF's on those flights.

It looks like I could arrange to leave GJT on Tue the 20th mid day. UA has a couple of flights around that time, OO 5935 at 1134 or YV 7066 at 1312. I have never flown on a dash but I mybe better off with OO to make sure I catch my connection in DEN.
