What Is The Best Seat Location DL 767-300?

Fri May 23, 2008 5:29 am

I just booked a resevation for travel in September PNS-SEA. The ATL-SEA leg is showing a 763.|
Question; what do you believe is the best location to sit on this airplane. Ive only flown on the type once and that one time I was stuck in the center. I saw on www.seatguru.com that the exit row seat while does offer more legroom, because the seats are close to lav that it can smell. So, as far as coach seating goes, what are your preferences, as it stands now I reserved seat 13A. Does this route ever see equipments subs/changes?
Your thoughts, thanks.

Be aware that seat 13A has no window.

I'd go after an aisle seat in row 26 since it's an exit row - window seats 26A and 26G can be very cold and have limited floorspace due to the space that the exit door slides takes up.

I always go for row 26 - unfortunately DL allows non-elites to book these seats which is a bit frustrating since they're amongst the first to go.

If not Row 26, I'll go for Row 25, and then any seat in the front part of the coach section.

23C, D, or E are good seats for movie watching because you're one row back from the screen. If you want a window seat, anywhere but row 13 is a good choice.

And if you're in one of the window seats, make sure to snag a blanket, as it gets a bit chilly by the windows. Found that out on a recent LAS-ATL flight. The extra legroom is great though.

That depends on what configuration the a/c is in, the older layout or the newer one. If it is in the newer one, it will have the PTVs so no movie screens to have to dealt with.

I always go for the mini coach cabin so you're not crammed in with the cattle in the back, right now your seat has no window which sucks. Personally I like the front left bulkhead (flying out of SAN I have the terminal and all the planes on the left) but they usually reserve the bulkhead for certain passengers but since my dad is a medallion member they allow me to choose those seats but I would just make sure to get in the mini coach cabin, its much nicer

Many thanks for all the replies, I will definitly change seat from 13A, was not aware no window in that row.
Im sure I will change my mind on seat selections a several times between now and September, thats the beauty of DL online you can change your seats so long as there is an alternate seat available.

Slightly off topic, but does anyone know of what there is good to do in Seattle? Its been 22 years sence I was last out there, I was 10 at the time, we did tour the Boeing plant back then and I most certainly plan to again, but what are other places of interest/attractions, hopefully with me asking second question wont break rules too much..

If you're in Seattle Labor day weekend, go to Bumbershoot. http://www.bumbershoot.org/
