Transferring At CDG

Sun Jul 06, 2008 7:50 pm

Hey everyone,

In August I will be flying STR-BOS with connections in CDG and YUL. Yes I know it sounds weird, but its a reward ticket through Mileage Plus. The flight to CDG is with Lufthansa and leaves STR at 7am and arrives at 8:15am. I'm then flying Air Canada to YUL, and that flight leaves at 10:30am. I looked online and noticed that Lufthansa and Air Canada are in separate terminals. Not that I can do much about it at this point, but should I have any problems making my connection? Any tips or advice? Thanks!

Hi there,
indeed interesting routing  Wink

I have never connected in CDG, but 3.5 hours should more enough at most European airports. Just get from one Terminal to the other and that's it. CDG isn't small, but 3.5 hours should be fine.

Have a nice flight.

The O.P. arrives at 08.15h , departs at 10.30h, which gets him (only) 2h15min to connect.

LH arrives at T1, while AC leaves from T2A.
Landside you use the automated train CDGVal from T1 to T2, then walk from the station to T2A. 2h15min are okay to make that transfer.
CDGVal leaves from the basement of T1.

According to www.adp.fr there is no airside connection, so there is no alternative to CDGVal.
Get accustomed with CDG T2's layout; you find plans on the website mentioned.

P.S. Finally I am getting accustomed to connect at CDG ...
