GFK (Grand Forks, ND) only by Northwest, until Allegiant comes in September
DVL (Devils Lake, ND) Northwest
JMS (Jamestown, ND) Northwest
BRD (Brainerd, MN) Northwest
STC (St. Cloud, MN) Northwest
BJI (Bemidji, MN) Northwest
INL (International Falls, MN) Northwest
HIB (Hibbing, MN) Northwest
COU (Columbia, MO) Northwest

there are hundreds of airports in the US that only have one carrier. I'm sure Canada is the same with relatively few carriers.

We also now have Highland Airways operating in with the J31 several times a week from Filton and the occasional Isles of Scilly flight, especially at Christmas when they offer shopping trips to Plymouth for the day.

More traffic would be appreciated though, I dream one day of KLM, LH or AF serving PLH  Wink

In Finland many small airports are served by FC (FinnComm) exclusively, two by AY only, various charter operators excluded.

You beat me to Stockton, but a few more California airports only served by one airline:

MOD, CIC, and CEC are served by United Express

MCE had service from US Airways Express service under the Essential Air Service program, but I don't know if that's still true.

For a brief period in the very late 1990's, BFL was reduced to United Express EM2's to LAX and SFO after AA pulled their DFW flight.

After growing to 5,300+ seats per week since then, but by the end of this year, there will only be UA Express to LAX, SFO, and DEN, and USExpress to PHX. Everything else will be gone.

Capital cities served by only 1 airline:

Maseru Int'l Airport in Lesotho by Airlink (SAA)
Pyongyang, North Korea by Air Koryo
Funafuti, Tuvalu was served only by Air Fiji, but I am not sure if Air Pacific is flying the route currently.

I did that one once. Never mind just one airline, it was the only capital city airport I've been to where ours was the only plane at all.

Somehow Air China believes that there is enough of a market for a second airline on the PEK-FNJ...I wonder how it is decided who is chosen to be stationed in Kimland?

When I was at Gatwick last week, the screen in the BA lounge had a flight to Newquay & Plymouth listed.

I didn't know BA had re-started service to PLH, and thought it was a bit odd but didn't know whether it flew in a circular pattern or what. It appears the screen was wrong!

It's not BA unfortunately, and the screen was correct - Air Southwest have launched a premium 'BusinessPlus' class which includes use of lounges at the airport, so that'll be why it was listed.

The flights operate a triangle route; three rotations of PLH-NQY-LGW-PLH, and a final evening PLH-NQY-LGW-NQY-PLH to get the aircraft back to base for the evening.

In Spain, there are some airports served by only one airline as:

- Cordoba (ODB) = from next September flights to BCN, BIO and VGO operated by TAER Andalus under the name flysur.com

- Ceuta (JCU) = is an heliport served many times a day by Helisureste to AGP.

- La Gomera (GMZ) = little island in the Canary archipelago served only by Binter Canarias. Normally with BEH equipment but in peak seasons with AT7 from TFN and LPA.

- Valverde (VDE) = another little island in the Canary archipelago. Is the main city in the El Hierro Island. Served with AT7 equipment from TFN and LPA.
