Need Help With Connection Options In FL

Wed Jul 30, 2008 7:21 am

I am flying from LIM-MIA on August 21st on American Airlines 2110 (AB3) which arrives at 12:50pm Miami time.

From there, I need to catch a flight on WN to Nashville (home) and I need to fly WN since I have some credit left with them...

Ok, I have two options:

Catch the tri-rail from MIA and then either fly out of FLL or PBI:

-From FLL, there is a flight that leaves at 5:10pm and there is another one later that night (price around $109).

-From PBI, there is a flight that leaves at 5:15pm and that is the last flight from PBI for that day (price around $89).

Taking AA's possible A300 technical delays, customs and the 1.5 hrs. train ride, does anyone think I'll have enough time to catch the PBI flight?

Any help from the MIA, FLL, PBI area will be greatly appreciated!

Or take CO Connection (Gulfstream International) to TPA, I'm pretty sure Southwest has BNA trips from TPA.

That would cost a bit to much.

This is what you have to do. You cant take the chance of the AA flight being delayed and you missing the PBI flight. Go to FLL, it is closer and if you miss the tri-rail for some reason you could always take a Taxi, sure the cab would cost over $60 but its better than missing your flight.
I wish I could help you with tri-rail information but I have lived in Miami my whole and have never used Tri-rail once. But landings lets say 1:00pm get out of MIA by 2:00pm 3 hours should be enough time to get to FLL. Again you are going to have to check the tri-rail schedule.

Really, just how much do you know or are you guessing? And what is a bit too much for a person wanting to get home?

Checking the CO website, for a flight today $152 which if I wanted to get home I'd sure be happy to pay.

Thanks for the help! Both you!

I reserved the WN flight from FLL at 5:15pm w/ service to BNA through MCO for only $109.

I also looked the tri rail schedule and they run pretty much every hour and takes only 30 mins from MIA to FLL and the fare is only $5 rountrip!

Once again, thanks!

Take The Flight From FLL It Is Much Shorter To Get To FLL Than PBI And I Think Would Be Worth The Extra Few Dollars But Personally I Would Fly AA All The Way Because Then Your Baggage Can Get Checked To BNA And You Wont Have Risk Of Connection Problems.
Go MCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VS, WN, DL, F9, CO, AA, US, VS, AC, AS, BA,

Why fly three different airlines? And its going to be alot more than flying just one flight from FLL to BNA instead of flying MIA-TPA-BNA I think just FLL-BNA is a good choice.

Good choice. Enjoy your trip. Let me know how the tri-rail adventure went  Smile
