Air Transat does not have PTV's in coach, but they do show a movie. There are drop down screens above the center section of the seats throughout the cabin, so viewing it from the window seat might be a little tough. Keep in mind the 310's are operated in a 9-abreast, 3x3x3 high density configuration, as opposed to the usual 2x4x2.

Tough choice...!! Neither one stands out as a winner. I suggest you go onto airlinequality.com and read a few reviews. However, i am sure i heard a rumour a couple of years ago that TCX re-configured some of their 757s with less seats specifically for their Canada routes on the 757. From a personal basis... take the A-310 with Air Transat, these are becoming a rare species, but the 757 will be around in abundance for quite a while yet!

Enjoy your trip!!

I'd take the 757 and hope for an empty seat next to me.

If I were you I'd go one way with Thomas Cook, and one way with Air Transat. That way you get to try both aircraft and airlines!

Take transat, A310 is a fine plane... after row 25 it goes 2-3-2 near the tail... Very good plane

my 2 cents flying across the pond in a narrow body doesn't trill me

Canadian Affair have used Thomas Cook 757's with 35 or 36in of legroom for their flights from / to the UK.

If that is confirmed for your flights next year, go with that. Comfort is important on a flight of that length.

I'd go for TCX (Not because of my nationality - I normally choose a non-British airline!).

Reason - the 752 will be equipped with less seats and more legroom than regular 752s.

Also plane will be smaller than with Transat... faster boarding and less crowded at the airport gate.
