Arriving on my BA flight having cleared customs and immigration, will I then need to go landside to get to Terminal C for my connecting flight to DEN and do the check in procedure again or will I be able to remain airside. I'm guessing I have to go landside but just wanted to make 100% sure so that I allow enough time for my connection.
Provided your luggage have been checked thru to DEN
and you are in possession of your onward Boarding pass: After immigration you retrieve your luggage and clear customs. Immediately afterwards there should be a luggage drop point. (And a transfer counter of CO
in case you still need to check your luggage to DEN
and/or get a Boarding Pass).
Afterwards you are landside at concourse E (at IAH
they call them Terminals) and have to go through security check again, as you could have retrieved articles from your previously checked luggage. As the concourses are interconnected airside, you can clear security anywhere (i.e. at "E"); there is no need to head for "C" landside.
A connection time around the mark of 90 minutes should be a pleasurable one; slightly more would give you the option to get something to eat & drink.
