Quoting Goldorak (Reply 1):
AA has become so miserable that I would choose BA without any hesitation
Quoting Leskova (Reply 2):
While my last flights with both BA and AA are quite some while back, I'd opt for BA without hesitating more than a split secont.
And the fact that you'd be in a B777 on AA and a B744 on BA only makes the whole thing even more obvious (well... at least for me): BA really is the only option here.
Quoting Lesismore (Reply 5):
I never flew AA transatlantic,
Quoting AirCop (Reply 6):
Is there any doubt? Unless you're saving a ton of money it's BA all the way.
Quoting Longhornmaniac (Reply 8):
If you've flown BA across the pond a bunch of times already, I'd give AA a shot. I'm sure it's not quite as good, but I've never had any problems with AA, and it'd be a new experience.

Quoting BA319-131 (Reply 15):
I've flown both carriers in international Y, AA's 777 & BA's 744, BA's better service and overall quality make it a no brainer choice.
Okay thank you. I have actually decided to go with BA this time too.
Quoting Soxfan (Reply 22):
As opposed to the 747's 3-4-3 seating, the 777 has 2-5-2 seating
