How Many Bags Can I Bring On My NWA Flight?

Wed Oct 29, 2008 9:05 pm

I "purchased" tickets for the following trip on 4/17/08. They are frequent flier tickets.

11/1 on NWA:

DTW-MSP coach
MSP-SFO 1st class

11/5 on Continental:
SFO-IAH coach
IAH-DTW coach

The cut-off date for baggage charges for NWA was 7/10, so by that measure I should be allowed to checked 2 bags for free. Yet 1st class can check 3 bags. So is that just for that leg or the entire outbound trip? What will Continental allow me to check as I purchased the tickets via NWA?

You will be able to check 3 bags on the entire outbound trip. On the way back however Co will charge you $15.00 for the 1st bag and $25.00 for the second bag. I don't recall what the charge was for the 3rd bag but remember that it was in the neighborhood of $150. And no, Co will not care that you checked 3 bags free on the outbound. Hopes this helps.

Are you elite on a SkyTeam carrier? I think that gets you some waivers on baggage charges.
