SQ Book The Cook..What Is Good?

Mon Nov 03, 2008 2:00 am

Hello all, in 2 weeks I will be sharing my experience with all on SQ first class from SFO - SIN and later SIN - SYD in Suites.

I have been reviewing the Book the Cook option: Of the many who have traveled on SQ and have used this option...Please rate the meals.

Also is theere a preferable seat on the 747 in First Class and A380 Suites?

A lot of people seem to love the Lobster Thermidor.

Ask them to make a meal with fresh durian, chou doufu and prepare a dish with belachan and chilli inflight.

It's the only way I won't be envious of people who can afford to fly first class.  Smile

Personally, ex-SFO I always choose the Chorizo Stuffed Chicken Breast. It always seems to be just the right amount of food for a late, 3 am supper.

Also, SFO is the only station in the SQ network that prepares it. You can get the Lobster from *ANY* station!

Enjoy!

I absolutely LOVE the Lobster Thermidor. The one they serve in First Class is the real one. The one they serve in Business Class is the "slipper" Lobster Thermidor. Smaller portion and not as nice as the one in F.

It goes well with your favourite champagne choice, either the Krug or Dom Pérignon. I am not sure if they still have the Pink Champagne (from either brand) in the A380 Suites.  Confused Maybe it was just for the inaugural flights last year.
There was a better way to fly it was called Concorde

Dear madameConcorde

Thank you for the reply. I have for many years read your reports. You indeed have a true passion for the skies and thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. I hope you all will enjoy the many series of my reports the next two weeks. I hope I give them justice.

I have requested the Lobster Thermidor on my return from SIN - SFO. I definitely will include a picture!  Smile))
