Looking For CO Mileage Run

Sat Nov 08, 2008 4:11 am

I'm standing at 24 EQPs and 19,111 EQMs for 2008 on CO. I don't know if I'll be on any more company-funded travel this year with CO (or alliance carriers), so I was looking for a (cheap) way of getting to silver elite for this year. I'll need 5,889 miles or 6 points. Any markets I should be looking at in-particular to achieve this? I live in south Texas, but the departure/arrival airports aren't especially important. Thanks.

Try SAT to EWR to LAX and back to SAT.

Recommend the Mileage Run forum at FlyerTalk, especially if you're flexible with airports.

Probably could do a SAT-IAH-EWR-somewhere northeast-EWR-IAH-SAT round-trip - would get you 6 EQPs. Just check out various airports WN serves in the NE - PVD, MHT, BDL, ALB, etc.

BTW, don't know your budget, but you can do SAT-IAH-EWR-PVD/PVD-CLE-IAH-SAT on Dec. 6-7 for $300. Add in $50 for a Priceline'd hotel room at PVD plus some more money to cover food/parking and you could feasibly do the entire trip in under $400.

Thanks for the replies; I'll consider all the options presented...

Again not knowing the budget but you can always head to RSW via IAH and TPA....take a ride on the Cape Air C402's from TPA to RSW and back, I love Cape Air.

I checked this SAT-IAH-TPA-RSW on 12/2 with the return on 12/3 and found it for under $600, just a thought for something different unless you don't like the C402 idea!  Wow!
