-West Coast flight goes something like this:
On the ground, you'll get a beverage. Full bar is available on the ground. Sometimes your meal order is taken (if not, it's in the air). Beverage is in plastic cups...
About 20 minutes after takeoff, you'll get a beverage service, served in a glass. Hot towels will then be passed out. Then, you'll get an option of something from the snack basket (biscoffs, granola bars, sunchips, peanuts). Then you'll get your meal on a tray - it will have a dinner roll, a salad, the entree (either the pasta, or the meat with a veggie and starch), and a dessert (normally a piece of chocolate cake or cheesecake).
After the meal, the F/As will come around with the snack basket and drinks pretty regularly.
First Class, the only thing you could conceivably pay for is something off the EATS menu - everything else that you would have to pay for in Y you get for free in F (unless you go over the 3 bags @ 70 lbs each limit).
