Hotels By MXP

Wed Dec 17, 2008 3:50 am

Hello there,
For business, I have to spend 24 hours close to MXP.
What to do on a Sunday, I will be there on a Sunday most of the day, and have to meet my friends first thing in the morning Monday to drive to Alba.
Any hotels, restaurants appreciated. Haven't booked anything yet.
I have to be close to the airport, since they arrive 8am by DL.
Thanks.

Try the YWCA or the YMCA. No the YWCA would be far superior!

If close enough is 45 mins by car go to Varese where there is a load of great hotels and restaurants. The main are Palace Hotel (an amazing building with a long history) Hotel Bologna (great restaurant homemade pasta etc Okish hotel) Just outside there is a beautiful hill top village on Sacro Monte where there are a couple of real astounding hotels Al Borducan (they make a special liquor) Collone (great South Tirolean food).
Here is a great website as it s the official tourism website for the area around MXP i.e. the province of Varese.

p.s. this is my home town/area so any questions just contact me!

Have stayed at the Crown Plaza Hotel and First Hotel located very near or on the airport. Both are excellent hotels with very modern amenities, rooms were clean as well. I forget where we at dinner but seem to think we ate ate the Crown and at a nearby restaurant when staying at First.

Hi TK787,

I normally stay on the Novotel Milan Malpensa Airport which is very close to the offices of my company at Italy.

Great hotel with not expensive rates.

The restaurant of the hotel is open until 00:00 hours.

I leave you the web site:
