If you find a way, let me know, but I had the same issue and couldn't find a solution.
I was a Gold member with Qantas since 2003, but last year with my Status running out and not being able to fly 4 sectors with QF - I asked them the same question - but got no joy.
So I had to start afresh with BA as a Blue member. Luckily my period without lounge access/priority boarding etc. only last about 4 months before I moved to Silver status with BA - but it was annoying to lose a status I had maintained for 5 yrs.
I now need to take some flights and use my QF points beofre they start to fall away - maybe a nice C class trp to the US on BA...

I have decided I am going to deal with this by simply going to the desk at the Galleries lounge in Terminal 5 and telling them I want to transfer with status retention. Given my 2-year history with BA now, this must count for something, I hope. If nothing else, it strengthens my argument!
Quoting VHTJE (Reply 5):
t must have really burnt you up to be sitting at terminal 5 at the gate for however long, not able to use the lounge because you quoted your BA Executive Club # on the booking, with the QF FF Gold Card sitting in your wallet...
Quoting Stargold (Reply 7):
You can always gain access by showing the card itself, even if you did not quote it when checking in etc.
Quoting APYu (Reply 6):
They will respond by giving you a handy telephone number to try, as ground staff have very little ability to do anything regarding the Exec Club
Quoting VHTJE (Reply 8):
Would that work? I mean, my understanding of the QF FF Programme is that I have to quote the FF membership number on the booking in order to gain lounge access. That implies that if I have quoted another FF number (BA's) I would not be eligible for entry using the QF card. Note that I am usually asked for both my boarding pass and QF FF card when entering the lounge (when travelling Euro Traveller anyway)
