Which Airlines Have A Ship #666?

Wed Feb 11, 2009 1:45 am

I was wondering, does anyone have a list of airlines that have a ship #666 in their fleets?

I know Delta has a ship #666 (N666DN, a 752). It seems that the fact that 666 is the Number of the Beast was overlooked when DL registered the aircraft. DL could have easily skipped 666.

United has N666UA, a 763. I just flew on it last month OGG-LAX.
It's an entirely different kind of flying; all together.

Boeing's customer code for EgyptAir is 66, so if they ever order a -600 series Boeing, it will be the 'XYZ'-666.

CO's 735 fleet is numbered 601-665 and 667-668. They skipped 666 and also we don't have a seat row 13 on any of our A/C either.

I guess the company is superstitious.  crossfingers
Is it broke...? Yeah I'll fix it.

The company isn't, but they want to accomodate their passengers as much as possible.

How about no seat row 13? How many airlines still have that?

Why should they? It's just a number.

It's rare to find an airline in Europe (outside the UK) with a row number 13. North American's seem to be less superstitious. I think CO is the only major airline in the U.S. or Canada without a row 13. Many hotels also skip 13 when numbering their floors.

I have actually heard that many buildings in China, in addition to skipping the 13th floor, also skip any number that has the digit "4" in it, so the 15th floor immediately follows the 12th floor.
