What To Expect On NW?

Sun Feb 15, 2009 5:22 pm

First time on NW. SFOMSP NW222 and MSPSFO NW357. Both are on 753 and I am in the back. What is their on board experience like these days?

Snack boxes/snacks for sale (if they're still doing that) and a beverage service.

What dates? In April, NW switches over to DL-style service in coach, which is a superior BoB offering to the snack boxes that NW currently offers.

No IFE, seats are fine. Nothing too special honestly.

Traveling next week. Their in flight product sounds like it is comparable to the rest of the majors. I usually bring my own IFE (laptop, books etc.), so lack of movies and/or music isn't an issue for me.

Thanks for the insight!

Back of the 753? That's an experience right there  Wink

IFE consists of a window, magazine, catalog, and hand puppet (unless used, then puppet died and you just touched its guts). Soft drinks are free, adult beverages are $. Food's BoB. F/As are probably more senior ones on this route, both in seniority and age bracket  duck

DC9, I wasn't expecting AVOD or anything. Are there powerports in coach? I'll have reading material and my laptop to keep me occupied.

Nope. Apparently we have peanuts for free in the back now, so you'll get some of those too.

Don't expect much. Bring your own food and IFE and you'll be fine.
The air in the clouds is very pure and fine, bracing and delicious because it's the same the angels breathe.

Unless someone around you has a peanut allergy, then you get something else.

According to Delta-Sky its the same thing as NW offers for sale, Pringels, Trailmix, and peanut M&M's, otherwise thats it for within the US unless you are in F, although it will be nice for those again getting free meals to Alaska and Hawaii as long as they are five hours or longer. So actually looks to me that NW's is better since you have the option for the snack boxes that have a mix of things in them. Atleast going to the west coast on NW you also have the option of the Veggie Tray. Delta according to them is Biscoff and Peanuts, or the actual BOB of peanut M&M's, Pringels, or Trailmix.
