As a frequent flyer on both, I give a major
to the new United international product. The seat is great and the IFE is a huge leap. The meals are what they are, however United has expressed plans spruce up the soft product up in the coming year. As I recall reading there have already been small changes with the appetizer and desert choices, and new chocolates in F class.
, I believe they made what will eventually be seen as a mistake and lost the opportunity to go with a lie-flat product themselves now that the rest of the US majors are adopting such. While the AA
seats is an improvement, its only a half hearted move while its competitors are in the process of leapfrogging them. On a personal note, one thumbs down on the AA
seat, is the fact that I cant get my feet to quite fit under the seat in front of me when reclined unless if I angle them which can become uncomfortable after a bit.
