US Envoy Sleeper: Worth The Upgrade?

Wed Feb 25, 2009 12:24 am

Hi Everyone,

I know that US Airways offers an upgrade on their A330s from Envoy to Envoy Sleeper--flat-bed seats--for $300 more than regular Envoy seats. Has anyone flown in these sleeper seats, and would you say that the $300 is worth it for the upgrade? I assume everything else remains the same in terms of food, service, IFE, etc. apart from the more-private cabin at the front of the aircraft.

Thanks!

I'd keep the cash and enjoy at your destination.

While the Envoy product is nothing to write home about these days, I would not spend the additional money just for a few more inches of recline for 6-8hours.

I guess it depends how you will use the extra comfort. Sleep?

I would never do it, as Im not much of a sleeper on planes. No matter what the seat is...

It appears to be a lie flat at an angle type seat, you slide off the end. Save the money.
you don't get a second chance to make a first impression!
