Familiar With Seats 21FG On DL 763ER?

Thu Feb 26, 2009 10:04 pm

The title pretty much sums up the question. Are seats 21F and 21G on Delta's 767-300ER any good? They are emergency exit seats and, according to SeatGuru, they fully recline and have a lot of legroom. On the other hand the seats appear as yellow (bad) on SeatGuru's cabin chart since they are located near the lavatories and have limited view of the IFE etc.

Do you have any experience with these seats and can you recommend me booking them? I only care for extra space and don't care much about bad view of the IFE.

Thanks in advance

In my experience, SeatGuru is a very good guide. If you are very tall, as I am, you appreciate the additional leg space, and to hell with the IFE and the lav. But I thought that Delta does not assign these seats in advance? I thought that they save them for premium passengers and/or last-minute upgrade at the airport. Perhaps I am wrong. But additional leg room on a long flight is always a positive goal.

The tickets are booked and I'm able to select those seats in advance. Of course I don't now if they'll remove me before the flight. I guess I'll have the final answer if I check in online 24h before departure.

Myself and my partner sat in these seats last October, flying ATL - LHR. Found the seats much the same as any other economy seats that are near lavatories, they are however set slightly back from the lavatory doors. meaning you don't get bumped every time somebody answers a call of nature.

The only problem my partner found; (I slept most of the flight); was when somebody ate something noxious either before or during the flight, and the smell lingered, but I guess thats the same with any seat close to a lav!!.

I booked these seats approx 3 months in advance and kept them, so hopefully DL will honour your request.

Hope this helps

On my 2 DL flights I could log in on the DL site with my reservation code, and select seats for my entire itinerary. And I got the seats I requested on both flights. (in Y)
