Air Newzealand Load Factors On 04/22..LAX-AUC?

Mon Apr 13, 2009 12:35 am

So I'm going to be on Air NewZealands flight # 001 from LAX to AUC and then returning on 002 from Auckland to LAX on 05/03 and was wondering what the load factors were like? I'm going to be in Economy for the flight and just wondering how full it may end up.

Ive checked out the seat map a couple of times for the flight and so far have noticed it fluctuate (of course) some days it seems like its pretty full, other days it seems like alot more seats have been available.

Thanks for any help!

My wife and I just non-revved on this route....3/24 LAX-AKL (correct code for Auckland) and then AKL-LAX on 3/31, on Air New Zealand. The flights going over were wide open. Air NZ runs either one or two flights a day. They aircraft are either 772 or 744.

Coming back, the flights were packed. We got bumped off the first flight coming back because it was weight restricted, and we got the last 2 seats on the second flt. If we had received seats for the second flight, it could have been days getting out.

Three quick notes....
1) The Air NZ staff (especially those in AKL) were very helpful.
2) For more info....you might want to sign up at nonrev.net where there are forums specifically for this kind of question.
3) I pay a small fee at idtraveller.com and that gives you access to international airline flight loads. They are not always completely accurate, but they give you a good idea of what your chances are.

Good luck.....New Zealand is a specticular destination. I recommend horseback riding on Pikari Beach.
negative ghostrider the pattern is full

Just call Air NZ's 24-hour toll-free USA number - 1800 262 1234.
The staff are generally very helpful once you identify yourself - we use slightly different terminology however, so don't mention 'ID' tickets.. just say you're United Airlines (or whatever) staff on a staff travel ticket and would like to know the loads for NZ123 on such and such a date.
