AA B-757 Transatlantic Q`s!

Sun Apr 26, 2009 10:20 pm

I am booked on AA172 from JFK to BRU in May and just saw that they are using B-757 on the routes? I know that CO uprgraded all the 757 Transatlantic with AVOD! How are the AA 757 then? AVOD?
How is the 757 Business Class Seats compared to the 763/777 Seats?

Anybody outthere having expirience with AA 757 on the atlantic yet?

The 757 J seat is the same as the one in the 777. I believe they do have AVOD.

Assuming you are on one of the few 757s configured for International ops, the Biz Class seats are the SAME as those on the 777 and 763. I believe they are more similar to the 777 with the PTV built-in.

From what I heard, economy hasn't changed much, but I'm sure someone who has experienced or seen photos of the economy cabin on the TATL757s could shed more light on this. Enjoy your flight!

Yes, and the 777 J seats are actually an inch or so wider than the similar seat in the 763. The 757 J seat is actually wider than both.

If it is on a trans-Atlantic flight, he is on one of the 757s configured for international ops, because those will be the only ones used to Europe.

What about the Y seat? PTV?

There are some trip reports with the new 757 interiors posted. AA decided not to equip these birds with PTVs in Y for cost cutting reasons.

No PTV in Y-CL? Does that mean they have a old TV Sceens in the aisles? That is not the way to go for a premium route like NYC-BRU! They have CO and 9W as a direct competition!
Still looking forward for my AA expirience, ususally it's all about the crew anyway!
