I thought it was that you cleared passport control at MAD, but customs at CDG? That is, your entry stamp will say Barajas, but you will walk through the green/red/blue lines at De Gaulle...in your case, the green one (unless you are bringing something restricted)

If custom officers are there, it's only to look at the tags and they won't bother checking someone coming from US.
Most of he time, hey stop people with a tag showing a city in he middle-east, Asia or Africa.

If the tag shows your final destination, and perhaps a connection point, how do they know? That is, if your tag says "MAD, CDG", how do they know if you are coming from the USA/Canada or from China, Morocco or Equatorial Guinea?
