Assistance At DTW Between Concourses

Thu Sep 10, 2009 10:16 pm

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know if they have golf carts running between concourses at DTW? My elderly parents will be arriving into concourse A, and leaving from concourse C, and have limited mobility (but not wheelchairs). They have a 1-hr connect time. Does the airport or NWA offer such a service? If so how do they go about coordinating it?

Thanks in advance,

Halophila

I think they do have the golf carts down there. If they can go down the escalator (or elevator), they should be fine. Another option would be wheelchair service, which can go down there via the elevator.

DTW does not use Golf Carts. And since Concourse B and C are connected by an underground tunnel to A, your parents either need to request wheelchair service or walk themselves. There are moving walkways, and making a connection should take no more than a 20 min walk.

Maybe it was CLE with the golf carts, as they have a similar tunnel connecting C and D.
