Quoting Chootie (Reply 2):
After having been on a UA 777 with 2-5-2 seating, I can only assume that 3-3-3 is not only more comfortable, but even more like a breath of fresh air when comparing.
Quoting Kimberlyrj (Thread starter):
So, on the Boeing 777 what is best in economy? 3x3x3 2x5x2 or 3x4x3?
Quoting Viscount724 (Reply 4):
The only big advantage of 3x3x3 over 2x5x2 is the absence of the middle seat in the 5-abreast center section with 2x5x2 which is a nightmare with 2 people on both sides.
Quoting BananaBoY (Reply 6):
We're forgetting 3-4-2 which may, arguably, be the best option of all? Seat groupings for couples, groups of 3 or 4 and only one chance that you'll be two seats away from an ailse.
Quoting Kimberlyrj (Reply 10):
I am not sure how flight attendants manage with the 2x5x2 lay out. The two seats are great but five is horrid. Trying to serve the passenger in the middle would be next to impossible without reaching across and unless you have really long arms you are going to end up having either lean over a passenger or ask for their help (passing the food or drink)...
