Delta LAX-HNL What To Expect?

Fri Oct 16, 2009 4:37 am

G'day all,

October 21st I will be taking Delta from LAX-HNL, this will be the first time I have ever taken Delta so what should I expect? I believe that the A/C will be one of their 763's but I don't know the tail number (flt 1465). I usually take United on this route, also on a 763, so should I expect this flight to be much like United?

Thanks for the insight!

Do not abort a takeoff because a cockpit window pops open!

Delta LAX-HNL What To Expect?

I was on a DL 763 from JFK to SFO back in 2001 and it was all dark(navy blue) and creepy on the inside.

Then I took one from SFO-ATL just a few weeks ago and it was bright and cheery (light blue, with leather seats!!).

I also experienced decent service from the F/A's, whereas my previous two Delta flights had been very, very sorely lacking in that department; so it looks like things are moving in the right direction at Delta (still don't like how they've effectively done away with the blue-and-red logo. It's really not Delta Air Lines without that...)

I haven't been on a United 767 since 1992 (but that was my first one!)
Pancakes are delicious.

All Delta 767-300s going to Hawaii have PTVs in coach with AVOD for movies available.

Buy on board will be available for food, as well as complimentary peanuts, biscoffs or pretzels.

Equipment will have the new slimline seats, which get the job done. Interior is nothing overly special.
