Passport Question

Sun Oct 25, 2009 8:58 pm

My passport is about to expire so I will be having to renew it. Is it possible to transfer the pages from my old passport to the new one. I have quite a few unique stamps and would like to transfer them to my new passport. Is this possible?

No, you can't. You have to send in your old passport when you apply for a new one, and they will return it to you with a hole punched through it, rendering it unusable. But at least you'll have your old stamps. What are your unique (favorite) stamps, if I may ask? My favorites are my Chinese Visa, and my Indonesian Visa.

I've had pages added to my passport on 2 occasions, most recently last year. Now I have 96+ pages.

I don't think it is possible to transfer pages from one passport to another. You can only add pages to your passport if you run out.

They just punch a hole thorugh? For German passports, when they return them after getting the new passport, the old one gets a corner cut off and then stamped as "Ungültig (Void)".

It seems unlikely that you can add the old pages to the new one. All of the stamps would be outdated.
