Transit In NRT

Fri Nov 06, 2009 6:07 pm

Hello All,

I will be transiting NRT with ANA on a route HKG-NRT NRT-IAD this January. My flight arrives into NRT at 8:15pm and then my next flight does not leave until 11:10 the next morning.

I am looking for advice on what to do for transit- would this be enough time to go downtown into Central Tokyo to stay or should I just get a hotel near the airport?

Also, is ANA able to check me through at HKG, or should I plan to reclaming my bag for the overnight?

Thanks so much for any information!
Now it should be "IFLYDCA"

Check with ANA if a hotel room is included in the fare. It is on JAL between Oz and Europe which have similar connection times.

If not there are a number of hotels in Narita village. I have stayed at the Hotel Nikko (part of the JAL Group) and it was very good, I wouldn't bother trying to get into central Tokyo, for that short time.

Oh man - didn't there used to be transit hotels at Narita? You know - those little bitty cubical kind of things- I could have sworn that I stayed in them there (I stayed in them somewhere - perhaps it was Singapore - but I don't even see that anymore...).

Ditto on going downtown....don't
