I flew the route last week and it was one of the 1500 series a/c with winglets and the full lie flat crew rest cabins at the front of the business elite cabin.

It was a good flight and went by quickly. We flew right over central Mexico and the spine of Central America so lots to look at if you get a window.

I think you mean one of the 1600 ships, 1607-1613 to be exact. These are the long range 76T's that have the lie-flat crew rests and winglets. Don't think the 1500 series has received winglets yet.

How is this route performing so far? Is it seasonal?

1500 series are the 76G's with the 6 main exits + 2 overwing exits.

Per DL's pilot contract, no aircraft may operate routes of 12:01 duration and longer without lie-flat crew rest accommodations. As such, 1500-series aircraft are "illegal" to operate 12:01+ routes.
