BA Transfer At LHR

Wed Dec 30, 2009 11:48 pm

Hi,

I am travelling with my family from MAN to SFO via LHR and returning from SEA to MAN via LHR again in the Summer. We have a transfer time of 1h45 on the way there and 1h40 on the way back. As all our flights arrive and depart from Terminal 5, I'm pretty sure we shouldn't miss our connections. What I'm a little apprehensive about is whether or not our baggage will make it! Do you think this enough time? Obviously it depends on a lot of circumstances but just generally?

Thanks!

Minimum connection T5 to T5 is 1 hour so you have a nice little window either side.

Generally when bags go missing its a transfer from another terminal to T5 rather then a T5 to T5.

Thanks for the swift reply! That puts my mind at rest! I've been reading a lot about how BA lost baggage problems have improved with the opening of T5, so here's to an unproblematic journey!

Was hell to start with but has much improved since the problems with T5 when it opened and runs smooth as long as the operation is running smoothly.

Have a fantastic time in SFO, amazing city!
