Advice Needed, Tour Through Eastern/southern Europ

Sat Jan 30, 2010 1:46 pm

Hi all,

I am about to book a simple tour through eastern/southern Europe. I'm planning on flying the following itinerary. The tour will be made in July. I will stay in a hotel in all city's except for Prague.

KL AMS PRG F70 OK PRG RIX B735
BT RIX WAW F50
LO WAW KRK E170
AB KRK TXL
U2 SXF BUD 319
MA BUD FCO 736
AZ FCO ATH 321
A3 ATH OTP RJ100
OK OTP PRG 735 OK PRG AMS 319

I ask you for recommendations about local flights. Is it possible to get some more interesting airlines or planes? Skip or ad some places? And local suggestions. Everything is possible. I demand there is at least a 735, 736, F50 and F70 flight included. I am afraid flying Tarom out of OTP is not an option, as I have a pretty good deal on the OK flights.

Basically I overnight everywhere for one night only. Since I plan on staying longer, what city's are recommended to stay longer?

Many thanks,

Tim,

I have one more question.

I'm trying to save some money by by changing my route. Via a dutch booking website I came across a very attractive offer.

AB KRK DUS 19-jul 12:45 14:25 A319
AB DUS TXL 19-jul 15:05 16:15 A319
BT TXL RIX 19-jul 20:25 22:55 B733

BT RIX IST 21-jul 11:25 14:15 B733
MA IST BUD 21-jul 16:20 17:15 B737

On none of the airline websites, or even Expedia, this itinerary is existing.

Is it possible to check-in my bag for the whole onward and outward journey? If I miss one of the flights, do I have the same rights as if I booked it by the airline itself? And how to pay for checking-in my bag? Which is not free on BT flights.

I am looking forward to your answers,

Tim,

Hi guys,

It's me in my one-man thread again.

Excuse me for all those questions. I have decided to play with the routing's, and came out with a tour mainly through southern/western europe.

I don't need anymore help, I will book my itinerary tonight.

I think I found something that makes me happy. It includes A whole lot of Airbus, interesting carriers and wide-bodys.

Topic might be deleted if nescesarry.

Hi Suryo,

There will be a TR. I will fly the following itinerary. I don't have too much details since I am at work. I can't choose between BA and KL for the flight to LCY, so I return via LCY and fly them both

AMS LCY KL Avrojet
LHR MAD BA 752
MAD LPA IB 346
LPA MAD JK 321
MAD BCN JK 321
BCN MXP Lufthansa Italy A319?
MXP BUD Lufthansa Italy A319?
BUD FCO Wizzair A320?
FCO MAD U2 A319
MAD FRA LA 343
FRA LHR BA 763, this will be the highlight of my trip    airplane
LCY AMS BA E170

I will stay 2 nights at every stop, except for my three visits to MAD.

I will fly the following itinerary. I

This itinerary is quite different from the original one.
The only stop in "Eastern Europe" that is left is BUD ...

But the IB A346 and LA A343 are highlights !

Wow Tim, that's a big itinerary. Gonna be a big pile of boarding passes. Have you booked them yet? How come you decided to go with the Southern Europe flights?

Ps. Expecting a trip report.

I wanted to book them tonight. Only I've just heard I'm flying to Germany tonight   I can't make a TR of that for private reasons.

You will be seeing a TR of this itinerary late July. I have managed to swap the JK A321 for a B717.

I have just finished my bookings.

I will fly the above mentioned itinerary. Starting at July the twelfth.

Is there any A.netter I may meet in one of these places? I will like drinking a beer with you

I have booked a return ticket on the LAN flight. Will there be any consequences for not showing up on this flight? This return is exactly a week after my flight to FRA, so the other OneWorld flights are made before this no-show.

No consequences for no-shows. All is legal as long as the sectors on the ticket are flown in consecutive order.

Or you can just cancel the inbound flight after finishing your outbound trip to FRA.
