Best Way To Fly To Manchester Tennessee

Sun Feb 14, 2010 4:03 pm

I am planning a trip to the US this summer. Since I am big music geek I would like to go to the Bonnaroo festival.
As my main destination will be Ann Arbor, MI a roadtrip (actually the real way to go to rock festival) is out of the question given the time needed and other obligations I will have during my visit to the US.
Anyway that only leaves a travel by air. What would be the closest airport to go to Manchester, TN from DTW ??
It will forever be a McDonnell Douglas MD 80 , Boeing MD 80 sounds so wrong

It seems as if BNA is the closest airport (56mi/90km) to Manchester, TN. There are non-stop flights between DTW-BNA-DTW on DL and WN.

While both BNA and CHA are about the same distance from Manchester (Approximately 60 miles.), only BNA has service from DTW (From DL, DL Connection, and WN.). CHA would require a connection.

Okay thank you very much guys. I guess I take the chance and fly DL/NW. The route is still served with the Dc 9  Smile

Also WN is flying nonstop between DTW and BNA twice a (week-)day; more options would require a connection at MDW.
