AA Upgrading Other Airlines Staff

Sat Mar 06, 2010 3:10 am

Hey folks...

Just curious if anybody knows the likelyhood of AA upgrading other oneworld staff travelling on staff tickets for
long haul? Is it a big no no at AA? or is it more common if space is there?

Thanks

RE: AA Upgrading Other Airlines Staff

I am US Airways (not a oneworld carrier) saff and I was traveling on company business- non reving between ORD and MCI and was upgraded to the First class cabin- without asking. However, I travelled on AA for pleasure "again non-reving" between DFW and EZE and was put in coach, but in the forward 777 cabin and in two very good seats. I am under the impression on long haul only AA staff can get upgraded, however, from my edperience AA ground staff has always been very acommodating and helpful to me while traveling speace available. The same can not be said regarding UAL which is a STAR alliance carrier.
Hopes this helps!
