CO 739 Seat Map On CO.com Vs Seatguru

Sat Mar 13, 2010 3:15 pm

Why is it that on CO.com and on seatguru they show two different seat maps for CO's 739s.

On seatguru.com they say that the wing on the 739 ends at row 20 and the last row on the plane is 32. http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Con...ntal_Airlines_Boeing_737-900ER.php

But on CO.com they show the wing ending at row 26/27 and the last row being 38

My guess is that you are seeing a difference in aircraft type, one being a B739 and the other being a B739ER! So I looked at your link and the seatguru clearly says it is an ER.

Well I looked at an 739ER seat map on CO.com also.

I wonder if anyone of you guys know which one shows the correct layout.

I am not sure what you're looking at then.

Here is what I found on CO.com:

http://www.continental.com/web/en-US...el/inflight/aircraft/737900ER.aspx

Seems to be the exact same cabin as what your link to seatguru shows.

Well do this instead.

Go on CO.com and search for flights from LAX to IAH on the 12th of August. Just pick the first 739 departure (at 1:25am from LAX) and look at the seat map.

Maybe I have it figured out, but then again maybe not!

It would seem the 900ER configuration shown in the link I pasted in from CO.com actually is the 900 configuration since it only shows 32 rows, while the flight you refer to actually may be an ER configuration since the 900ER has more rows.

Best advise I have to is to call CO Internet Tech Support at 800-300-1547 and ask them what the difference is from the flight you picked and the onboard ammenities, aircraft link.
