AF B772 Y Seating Question

Fri Apr 02, 2010 10:01 pm

Hello all,

I am booked on the Atlanta flight from ATL to CDG at the end of the month.
Thanks to my Platinum status I was assigned row 22 bulkhead seat. I noticed that this flight is getting the reconfigured B772 with 3-4-3 layout BUT, on the first five rows of Y, the layout is 2-4-2... are the seats different than in the rest of the plane. It isnt Y+, thats not what I purchased.

Oh, and SeatGuru does not have the updated configuration

Help appreciated.

Thanks,

AF773

Air France' s 25 B772ER were configured with 4P / 49J / 211Y (3-3-3).

Air France is introducing its new Economy + "Premium Voyageur" on all its B777/A343/A332/A380 fleet.

7 B772ER are already fitted with this new class. The configuration is now 4P / 49J / 24W / 170Y.

The "Premium Voyageur" Class offers a 2-4-2 config in W, while the new "Voyageur' Class offers a 3-4-3 config in Y on board the B772ER/B77W.

You can find some informations on the "Premium Voyageur" with pics of the seat here :

fantastic... so does that mean that having seat 22H means I am in Y+?

I booked this ticket with 50 000 maxi miles on this leg of the trip. Being Flying blue Platinum, I was given the bulkhead but...:

I cant find a seat map showing the new cabin so I have no idea which cabin I am in.

Row 22 is the first row of Premium Voyager (premium economy) on AF 772s that have been reconfigured with Premium Voyager (2-4-2) and 10-abreast Y class (3-4-3) replacing the previous 9-abreast (3-3-3).

If the aircraft still has the old configurtion without Premium Voyager and the much more civilized 9-abreast Y class seats, Row 22 is the first row of Y class. Both seat maps from AF website below.
