Connecting At BOM T1-T2

Wed Apr 07, 2010 6:08 pm

My agent's booked me on Kingfisher from HKG to BOM arriving into T1 with a connection BOM to MCT on Jet departing from T2 within 1:30. I've looked at the website for BOM and it says there is a coach every 30min between the terminals.

So my questions for my learned Indian friends:
  • Why is my international flight arriving into a domestic terminal?
  • On the website it says I will need to collect my luggage before boarding the coach, does this apply to international-international connecting passengers?
  • Will I need to clear customs into India? Will I need a visa!?

Appreciate any info. (I'm travelling tomorrow!)

Your Kingfisher flight HKG-BOM will arrive into T2 and not into the domestic terminal, not sure where you got that information from. As your Jet BOM-MCT also departs from T2, you won't need to worry about changing terminal, won't need an Indian visa and I assume your luggage will be through checked. Have a safe journey!
