How To Get To MAN Viewing Park From The City

Thu May 06, 2010 6:48 pm

I have a layover in MAN this weekend. Does anyone know the best way to reach the viewing park from downtown Manchester? I did a forum search and the latest posts on there were five years old--is there any updated information?

Thanks in advance!

Jump on a train to the airport. From the train station walk next door to the bus station, and jump on the bus to the Aviation Viewing Park.

Simples!

Thanks PlymSpotter!

I didn't realize that there was a train from the city centre to the airport. Makes it a lot easier since this will be the first time I will have a layover in MAN.

It's not a dedicated Airport Express - so you'll need to look at the departures board to check which trains call at the airport. There are quite a lot though - when I was last there, about one train every 10 minutes!

From the airport station, take bus number 200, it only runs hourly though.
