US Airways A321 F Seating

Fri May 21, 2010 1:14 am

I have LAX-CLT and CLT-LAX booked in F for July, and out of sheer curiosity (and because LAX-CLT is a redeye) I am wondering what kind of F seating I can expect. I have had 4 F segments on US 321s in the last few months, one was the "older" (I guess) blue and gray seats withoutheadrests, like this:

On the other three, I had the new 321s with the blue/gray seats and headrests (this is the a/c with the new LED lighting).

My dad flew back in F from BOS yesterday on a 320 and described something that looked more like this:

Obviously no one can guarantee one specific seat or aircraft, but I am just curious as to what F seat is most common among US aircraft and specifically the 321s. Is there a still a big difference between East and West or have they standardized more? The newer 321s have been flown by CLT based crews every time I have been on them so I'm assuming they're East aircraft, do they tend to see CLT-LAX often?

Thanks

They should all have blue leather at this point. A flight number would actually help as far as new or old 321 in this case.

And in another note, WiFi should be available on your flight because Parker is all about promoting the fact that US will have WiFi in all the 321s by the middle of June.

I did just notice that all 321s will feature Gogo, I'm looking forward to that.

I am on 1498 outbound and 1431 inbound. Thanks!

That tells me that both are operated by US East metal. Meaning less of a chance for a brand new 321.
